In Spring 2025, City Academy’s Actors Company is bringing a fresh and dynamic production of As You Like It to life, directed by the innovative Mark Prince—and we want you to be a part of it!

This is your chance to join a cast that will transform the enchanting Forest of Arden into a vibrant realm where rules vanish, identities shift, and love blossoms in unexpected ways. At the heart of this exhilarating Shakespearean comedy is Rosalind, a heroine who dares to defy convention. Escaping exile with her cousin Celia, she disguises herself as a man, discovering freedom, self-discovery, and the thrill of love with Orlando. Whether you're a seasoned performer or looking to step onto the stage for the first time, this is an opportunity to shine in a bold reimagining of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays.

About the Actors Company

The Actors Company is City Academy’s premier theatre company. Join a talented cast, rehearse as an ensemble and experience the joy of performing live on stage in London. Please note that membership fees apply. Being a part of the company is a great way to gain experience performing in high-quality plays and productions, in front of a live audience. 

About the Actors Company Audition

You can audition to join the Actors Company if you have completed the higher levels of City Academy’s acting courses, the equivalent, or if you have performance experience. There is nothing to prepare beforehand: the audition will consist of group acting exercises where you will work creatively with other actors. The show director may also ask you to read and perform a short piece. You'll also have a chance to ask questions about the upcoming production and meet the director.

1. Book your place on the audition for our next production
2. If you are successful - we will invite you to book onto the Actors Company and process payment. If you are unsuccessful, we will recommend an alternative Theatre Company for you.
