Our wonderful Art tutors are here to encourage your creative expression and hone your unpracticed skills. They will assist you in finding your right starting point. In a friendly and relaxed environment, this Art Taster is a great outlet to spark your interests. You’ll enjoy a practical art lesson and have ample opportunity to discover which of our longer courses may be the right fit for you.
We offer a variety of art and drawing classes to take after this Taster. Our How To Draw and How To Paint Beginners Classes will be the perfect next step to continue your artistic journey with City Academy.
ART TASTER CONTENT
Guided by your tutor, in this Art Taster class, you will:
- Focus on drawing using pencil, charcoal and pastels.
- Understand the basics of structure, composition, rendering shape, line work, mark-making and smudging.
- Receive support from your tutor to guide you and answer any questions you may have.
- Build confidence on your artistic journey.
LEVEL
This Taster is for everyone. No prior experience is needed.
STYLE
Our art tutors have different approaches to suit everyone, you will be encouraged to find your own personal style.
WHAT TO WEAR
Bring a protective apron or washable clothes as charcoal and pastels can be messy.
MATERIALS
All required materials will be provided.
City Academy's art studio is fully equipped with everything you need to get creative.
We recommend you bring your own art materials, however we will supply materials if you don't have your own.
