The musical, which starred Pitch Perfect star Ben Platt, tells the story of American high school student Evan Hansen, who suffers with severe social anxiety. After the suicide of a classmate, the musical follows Evan’s journey coping with his mental illness and learning to connect with others. The musical gained much acclaim for it’s storytelling lyrics and sensitive themes explored through musical theatre.

You will begin the workshop with a full vocal warm up before learning harmonies to some of the most popular songs from the show.

During the musical workshop you will:

• Develop vocal technique, learning songs from the highly acclaimed musical
• Understand how to tell a story through your singing
• Work with musical harmonies in groups
• Build acting through song and performance skills

The workshop is open to everyone however basic technique for singing will not be covered. We recommend completing our Singing Beginners course or similar elsewhere first.

It is important to stay hydrated during singing classes so we advise bringing a bottle of water with you.
