Flamenco Classes - Improvers

Originally, from Andalusia in Southern Spain, Flamenco dancing is one of the three integral parts of the fiery art of Flamenco.

Drawing from the Jewish tradition and Moorish culture, as well as the Spanish gipsy heritage, Flamenco is fun, feisty and, above all, passionate.

In this Flamenco Classes - Improvers you will develop skills introduced on the Beginners course. Learn more complex foot/heel rhythms, develop posture & positioning and light & shade footwork, and work on your expression and dynamism of hand and feet movement.

Flamenco Classes - Improvers Content

Our flamenco course is suitable for those who have completed a Beginners Flamenco course or those who have had some previous Flamenco experience. Our teacher will support you and tailor the lesson to your needs as much as possible:

• Understanding the developing and intricate skills of Flamenco dancing.
• Developing on posture and position within your dance
• Gaining a greater understanding in the essential rhythms and body control involved in Flamenco
• More confidence in choreography and individual movement within routines
• Light and shade footwork
• Learning more intricate and difficult steps turns and rhythms than the basic beginner level
• Developing expression, intent and dynamics of hands, head and feet
• Working on performance and technicality
• Practising a routine
