This intensive 5 week Jive Performance course will equip you with the tools and practices needed to become a more confident and engaged dancer, flourishing in your own unique performance style. Aimed at students with experience in Jive Dancing to an intermediate or advanced level.
The course is led by Paola Lizza, who has worked for some of the best Italian choreographers and celebrities, as well as a dancer for the likes of Gabrielle, Kayne West, Ashley Wallen and Hege Okstad. On completion of the course you will perform in our Annual Partner dance show at the Sadler's Wells Theatre.
If you are new to Jive dance, take a look at one of our Tasters and Beginners Jive classes before taking this course.
During the Jive Performance course you will:
- Develop and refine swing technique, styling and partnering
- Improve musicality, timing and styling
- Learn challenging and innovative choreography
- Build confidence and learn the dynamics of performing

No Venue
All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
