Acland Burghley School, NW5

The only school to have been built by renowned architectural practice, Howell Killick Partridge and Amis - who also did the Young Vic as well as parts of Oxford and Cambridge Universities - Acland Burghley is an example of Brutalist design, currently being considered for Grade II listing. 

Behind the venue's facade, there are vast and warm spaces inside, visited by the likes of Sir Ian McKellen and Damian Lewis. The school plays host to a range of dance studios, meeting rooms and conference rooms, as well as outdoor pitches, an auditorium and of course, classrooms.

Located on the border of Camden and Islington, Acland Burghley is a stone’s throw away from Tufnell Park tube station.
