Method Acting - Improvers

For those who have completed Method Acting - Beginners, or who have some experience of drama or acting classes. Our Method Acting - Improvers Classes will allow you to gain the building blocks of this respected technique and empower students to perform with courage, spontaneity and authenticity through use of the Method.

Using your own life experiences as a tool-kit to delve into, you will learn to recall emotional and physical memories safely and re-deploy them in the context of any given scene, and to identify character objectives and relationships. As a result the work produced is without fail whole-hearted, truthful and produces performances that are compelling and deeply human.

This method acting course will build on the Beginners course, developing further your sense memory work, relaxation and observation. You will work with more demanding scenes, scripts and characters which will require more in-depth research, allowing you to create detailed performances, capturing the essence of your character and the scene. 

Method Acting - Improvers Classes Content

Exact course content may differ but topics covered generally include:

• Understand techniques to create detailed characters
• Learn the tools to break down a script for rehearsal
• Use of improvisation exercises to support and develop scene work
• Develop research skills when working with more demanding scenes
• Find truth and meaning in a text
• Work creatively alone and in a group

Like all of our acting lessons, you'll receive friendly feedback throughout the course, and all scripts will be provided. Maximum capacity is 10 students to ensure students receive individual feedback on this specialised course.
