Whether you are an aspiring producer, sound engineer, or someone wanting a better understanding of the full music creation process, this is a great place to start. The course is suitable for complete beginners looking to fast-track their learning. If you’d like to take things at a slower pace, we also offer a Music Production Beginners course.
For this course you will be learning how to use Logic X, which is one of several industry standard digital audio workstation (DAW) software. You will learn through guided tasks, with one to one support from your tutor. Through industry examples you will build a strong foundation to help you realise your creative ideas. From production to mixing and recording techniques, you will gain a solid understanding of the full music production process.
WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT ON Music Production Intensive course?
The course will cover a range of carefully selected material to ensure it is challenging, varied, and above all, enjoyable. Course content will include:
- An introduction to music production and Logic X
- Learning how to programme MIDI drums
- Gaining knowledge of microphones and recording techniques
- Learning how to arrange and edit audio
- Gaining an insight into sampling and synthesis
- Learning about effects processing
- Developing an understanding of mixing and automation

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
Each day will be begin with informal guided sessions on a key music production topic before students move on to one to one opportunities to practice their skills with plenty of free time to experiment.

- Explored production skills including automation, mixing, synthesis and sampling.

DAY 1
On day one of our summer school, we will be getting to grips with music production software Logic X and the basics of MIDI Programming.
