From the creators of The Producers comes the celebrated West End Version of this monster musical comedy. Featuring slight revisions and enhancements made by the original Broadway creative team, Young Frankenstein (West End Version) is ready to shock your audience!

The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"),and lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Young Frankenstein (West End Version) has all of the panache of the screen sensation with an extra theatrical flair. A perfect opportunity for a production to showcase an array of talents, you'll be "Puttin' on the Ritz" and having a monstrously good time with Young Frankenstein (West End Version).

We have two intakes a year, one in January and one in August. In order to join the Musical Theatre Company you need to have completed our Musical Theatre Beginners and Musical Theatre Improvers courses. There is no further audition in order to join the company.

On occasion we do consider students who have performance experience outside of City Academy, if their level is high enough. To join the company without attending our courses, please email a video of you performing a musical theatre song to piano or a backing track to our team at abi-mt@city-academy.com. You will be contacted and advised of the next steps.

Our next rehearsals start on the 13th, 14th, 15th January 2025.

Depending on what night of the week you would prefer to rehearse, we have three separate groups you can join. You can choose to join the Monday Company, Tuesday Company or Wednesday Company. All rehearsals start in the same week and culminate in a show at the same time, the only difference is the date you rehearse.

In order to put on a production of the highest calibre possible, we expect a high level of dedication, hard work and commitment. We appreciate our company members have busy lives, however practice at home and commitment in order for it to be a success, so we do ask that you attend as many classes as you can.

The One Show Membership Full Price: An initial deposit of £225, which is included in the £525 full payment. This option covers your membership for the entirety of the show period. This covers all company rehearsals and performances for the duration of your show. 

Monthly Membership Payment Plan: An initial deposit of £225. Then six monthly payments of £50.

Cancellation

• The deposit payment is non-refundable for the Musical Theatre Company whether you have paid in full or monthly.
• We do not offer refunds on monthly memberships within the 4 month minimum membership period.
• To cancel your membership please email info@city-academy.com at least 14 days prior to the next payment date.
