'Love and Information'
We're incredibly excited to bring you highlights from 'Love and Information' - performed by our Actors Company at The Courtyard Theatre from 10th-12th March 2019. The production was a part of City Academy's Truth Season.
Love and Information is a timeless ‘state of the nation’ play written by Caryl Churchill, examining how we navigate ourselves within contemporary society. In this production, director Simon Wegrzyn aimed to create an "abstract view" of society beyond a singular nation - more a 'state of the world' play. The production looked at how we survive the "Information Overload" of social media obsession, fake news and widespread political conflict in the world today, and how love and life prevails.

City Academy Actors Company
Our Actors Company is one of four resident City Academy Theatre Companies, and the only one which requires an audition to join.
The company uses new writing, devising, and one-act plays that offer all members of the cast creative challenges. With weekly rehearsals and regular performances on top London stages throughout the year, the Actors Company aims to be one of the most exciting contemporary groups in London.
The company director is award-winning actor and director Simon Wegrzyn, whose professional credits span BBC drama and productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
