– Stephen Forster, Acting Foundation student.
I’m an introverted person so people are surprised that I enjoy acting. I got into amateur dramatics in Hampshire. A neighbour was involved in an am dram group that ran mystery evenings for charity. The audience are given parts to read, and one evening that was me. That evening the actors suggested I auditioned to join the group, so I did. I had not acted before but I liked it. When I moved to London, I looked for a similar group. I’m currently a member of ‘Theatre in the Square’; the City Academy Acting Foundation course helped me improve and hone my skills for the group. I felt like I needed to improve as the other members have more experience than me.
