Former dance school gets a new lease of life in 2023.
This January, City Academy opens the doors to a new flagship arts complex in Clerkenwell, London. The gorgeous, 5 storey building, formerly home to the Central School of Ballet, has 12 performing and creative arts spaces including large dance studios with state of the art flooring, art rooms with natural light, high ceilings and, in late 2023, a purpose built, black box theatre.
We will be announcing a series of open events to welcome students and members of the public to take a look around the space as it evolves.

“We are incredibly excited to be bringing this wonderful heritage building back to life and filling it with a new generation of actors, dancers, singers, performers and creatives. As you walk around the building you can feel its history, and we aim to honour and respect this past as we refurbish the building. Our team cannot wait to welcome our students and clients into the building from mid January.” says Michael Ward, Managing Director.
