We're incredibly excited to bring you highlights from 'Tribute' - the second of three City Academy Dance Shows in December 2018.
Seven of our incredible Dance Companies lit up Laban Theatre to pay tribute to life, love and music. From Tap to Bollywood, the show journeyed through decades and emotions, showcasing the dedication and talent of our dancers.

The Jazz Company share their passion for all that is Jazz paying tribute to iconic movie musicals throughout the decades, showcasing excerpts from Grease, Chicago, and Dreamgirls.
A true celebration of classical dance, the Ballet Company pay tribute to one of the greatest composers of all time: JS Bach. The piece explores some of his most loved works, including Hunt Cantata Aria, Sheep May Safely Graze, Overture No.3 in D Major, and more.
Get whisked away to the glitz and glamour of the golden age of Hollywood. The Tap Company pay homage to the classic movie musical, from the stunning movie theatres to the smoky jazz clubs. As Vivien Leigh said: "I don't want realism. I want magic!"
In a tribute to culture, the Bollywood Company explored the cultural complexities of India - an amalgamation of various cultures, history and art. Travel on a journey through this beautiful piece in homage to the gem of the East.
Hostage - Contemporary Company
Hostage to the brute passing of life, we escape our condition in an expression of freedom. A nod to the unfolding of our lives, in which we are bound to find comfort in an ever transient balance.

Music In Motion - Commercial Company
A tribute to the powerful role music has played in the history of dance. A journey through numerous decades of dance, exploring how culture and society has influenced its evolution.
