Singing Foundation - 5 Days

Like many courses on our intensive programme, this course is suitable for complete beginners and those who possess a passion and curiosity to learn more about their voice.

Students will learn about vocal technique, breathing, posture and application of this technique across a broad repertoire.

Students must be able have a good level of spoken and written English.

Our Foundation courses are taught within groups and also incorporate solo masterclasses. Each week will begin with a thorough vocal warm up before going on to discover key vocal techniques and approaches to develop your confidence and singing skills.

Students will have the opportunity to sing a broad range of repertoire.  Your voice will grow in strength and flexibility and you’ll gain a sense of control and confidence when singing. Best of all, you’ll have a lot of fun, and meet like-minded new people.

Students will have:

• Developed greater confidence in their vocal ability and singing as part of a group.
• Gained further insight into their individual voice and explored a solo song of their choice.
• Grasped an understanding of the vocal mechanism and how sound is made.
• Demonstrated good posture when singing and an understanding of effective breathing.
• Progressed through a number of vocal warm-ups and technique exercises.
• Explored a range of creative workshops and styling activities.
• Demonstrated learnt technique within an informal sharing to friends and family on the final session
