The Studio Company is the apex of our musical theatre curriculum, an intensive and passionate performance group centred around our regular full cast productions. We are a vibrant, sociable group who share a love for musical theatre and performance.
Over a nine week rehearsal period, you will work with a Director, a Musical Director and a Choreographer, all with extensive experience in professional theatre, to produce a show you will be incredibly proud of. Each production features a vibrant and talented cast and takes place at a central London theatre. Move through rehearsals, dress rehearsals and finally, an invaluable taste of the London stage.
Our Musical Theatre Studio Company is a vibrant, passionate group with a rich history of producing blockbuster shows. Previous productions include The Addams Family, Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago, In the Heights, Lend me a Tenor, Sweeney Todd, Urinetown, Into The Woods, Company, Avenue Q and The Producers, all of which have played to sold-out audiences and rave reviews. When you join the company you become part of a supportive family, who support each other through the process all the way to the stage.

Audition, Rehearsal and Show details
The first-round auditions require a £5 fee and are submitted via self-tape. Once you’ve booked your slot, we’ll send you all the details you need for your audition.The submission deadline is 8th July.Recalls will be held in the evenings on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd July 2025, with no additional fee for this stage.
All of the audition material will be available via Dropbox and a link will be sent to you once you book your audition slot.We will notify you via email to let you know if you have received an in person Recall.
Rehearsals start on Thursday 14th August and take place every Thursday and Friday evening from 7pm - 9.30pm and on Sunday evenings from 6pm - 8.30pm- with 3 Sunday all day rehearsals 9-5pm (9 weeks)The production will take place at The Bridewell Theatre from Monday 13th - Saturday 18th October.
Audition Details
The Studio Company operates on a strict audition-only basis. We hold auditions specifically for each production, rather than for an ongoing group, ensuring we form a new company for every show.
While we’re seeking exceptional lead performers, we’re also looking for talented Ensemble members who are strong dancers with musicality and excellent harmony skills, capable of tackling challenging dance breaks. The Ensemble is a vital, irreplaceable part of the show.
Self-Tape Deadline: Submit your audition video by Monday 8th July at 5:00 PM
Recall Auditions: Recalls will be held Monday 22nd July and Tuesday 23rd July.

How do I join?
The group rehearses and performs in prestigious London theatre spaces. Rehearsals take place on Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings over nine weeks to produce shows of the highest calibre possible. The Studio Company is strictly by audition only, with new auditions held to form a new company for every production, rather than for an ongoing group.
Step 1: Audition - £5
To audition, book a £5 slot here. Once you have booked your audition, you will be emailed with your audition Information and how to submit your video audition.
You will be sent a link to the Dropbox where you will find the audition material which will be available from the 5th June.
You will then choose a song and scene to upload. The deadline to submit your audition is Tuesday 8th July by 5pm.
Step 2: Recalls - Free
If you are successful after our creative team has reviewed your audition, we will be in touch to give you information about attending our recalls. There is no cost at this stage. Our recalls will be held on Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd of July 2023 in the evening.
Step 3: Casting - Lead or Ensemble
After our callback process has ended, you will be notified within a week as to whether you have been selected as a lead role or an ensemble role. The number of leads and ensembles depend on the production we are running, and they are both integral to the success of the show.
Memebership Payments
After being successfully cast you will be either a Lead (£790) or Ensemble (£690) member. In order to secure your role on the production, you must book your spot on the course within a week of being offered a role. We offer two separate payment structures, full-price payment or installment options.
Full Price Lead: £790
Payment Plan Lead: An initial deposit of £250. Then three payments of £180 over the course of three months.
Full Price Ensemble: £690
Payment Plan Ensemble: an initial deposit of £225. Then three payments of £155 over the course of three months.
THEATRE Schedule
In order to ensure the production is of the highest quality, you are strongly encouraged to be available for all rehearsals. Studio rehearsals take place every Thursday, Friday and Sunday evening beginning Thursday 14th August until Friday 10th October.
Sunday 12th October: Get into the Theatre
Monday 13th October: All day tech/dress/first show (you will be needed ALL DAY & EVENING).
