Conor is a British/Irish playwright and graduate of the MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He specialises in empathetic stories, told in an unconventional style, that look to find our common humanity.
Conor has had work produced primarily for theatre at venues including Theatre 503, Camden People’s Theatre, Bread & Roses Theatre, Tristan Bates Theatre, The North Wall Arts Centre, the Lyric Hammersmith, the Oldham Coliseum, the Oxford Playhouse, the Park Theatre and the Arcola Theatre.
Conor is an alumni of the National Theatre Young Studio, the Tricycle Theatre Young Company and the Soho Theatre Writer’s Lab. His play It Is So Ordered ran at the Pleasance Theatre (London) in April 2017 and received a number of four star reviews, one of which was from The Stage. His play Haste Ye Back was shortlisted for ETPEP Award in 2019.
Conor takes an active interest in developing and promoting a more inclusive and supportive writing community. He particularly enjoys seeing new writers build their confidence and find their voice through their craft.
“I want my classes to be an informative and engaging experience. My students will acquire repeatable exercises and selective knowledge which will empower them to write compelling stories. With an emphasis on writing free from censorship, I endeavour to unlock the unconscious creativity that day to day life can dull.”
