David Blair

David trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and subsequently with John Wright and Philippe Gaulier. He has written and directed short films and is an award nominated voice actor, specialising in audiobook narration.

David’s experience as an actor is many & varied, performing extensively in Theatre, Film and TV. He has taken shows to the Edinburgh Fringe festival and created comic characters which he has performed on the London comedy circuit. He also acted in the RSC and the West Yorkshire Playhouse and alongside the likes of Sir Kenneth Branagh and Sir David Jason. His many TV credits include Band of Brothers, Hamlet, Casualty, Heartbeat and A Touch of Frost.

David has taught and worked with students aged 8-18 on individual and group work as well as general acting tuition & directing using techniques rooted in the Stanislavsky philosophy. As well as being a qualified counsellor, his coaching experience has allowed him to develop a strong foundation in active listening, providing constructive feedback, and designing personalised training plans.
