Emiko Ishii is a British born Japanese dancer, Bollywood Dance teacher and choreographer that is not only committed to the perpetual art of dance but also keen to bring culture, dynamism and her contagious energy to the table.
Emiko’s love affair with Bollywood dance started eight years ago when she encountered her first Bollywood film Devdas. Progressively Emiko has expanded her training to other forms of classical Indian dance including bhangra, bharatnatyam, folk and kathak. She has been a part of and collaborated with many Bollywood Dance companies in London. She has also competed with a Bollywood Dance Troupe in America.
Her experience ranges from performing on stage, music videos, corporate events, private functions, festivals, TV, commercials and film.
Emiko aims for students to explore a unique and fun style of dance where it is accessible to anyone whether you love Bollywood films, you want to experience something different, develop Bollywood dance skills or to simply have a fun workout.
“My classes are designed to draw out individuality and natural flare in dance. I will work on developing Indian dance and performance techniques, musicality that will also sculpt the body and enhance general fitness.”
