Emily Smith trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Prior to training she studied English at Bristol University.

Recent acting Credits include: Rebecca (Kneehigh, UK tour), Bear Hunt (Sydney Opera House and world tour), Peter Pan, Wild Oats, Does My Society Look Big In This (Bristol Old Vic), Tea Time (Oxford Playhouse), Oh No It Isn’t (Belgrade Theatre), Ross and Rachel (Old Vic New Voices), Shakespearience (Glastonbury, Latitude, Edinburgh and West End).
Awards: The Bristol Old Vic Patron’s Prize (a six month acting placement at the Bristol Old Vic), The Princess Diana Award for Inspiring Young People (presented at the House of Commons), National Poetry Award (RSC Stratford), Best Bristol University Production (for directing Amadeus).
