Emma Bellerby

Emma Bellerby trained at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds and the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance, Munich. She also has a certificate in Dance Education awarded through the Royal Academy of Dance and has recently completed an MA in Choreography at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance.

Emma has toured her own contemporary choreographic works in England, Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy. She has a passion for teaching and performing dance in areas of high poverty which led her to participating in dance projects in India, Tanzania and Sierra Leone.

As a Contemporaty Dance Teacher, these experiences have shaped Emma’s ‘everyone can dance’ philosophy which fuels her teaching approach. They have encouraged an interest of incorporating diverse music, rhythms and styles from around the world within her contemporary dance classes to create a fun and stimulating atmosphere.
