Hamza trained as an actor at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He works across television, film, theatre and radio.
Hamza has featured in leading and supporting roles in shows for BBC, Channel4 and internationally for ABC and CBS. These include the new Doctor Who (BBC), Luther (BBC), Combat Hospital (ABC) and Ransom (CBS).
In theatre, he has starred in The Internet is Serious Business (Royal Court), and Sweet Cider (Arcola).
Hamza also works as a film director. He has directed a number of short films, some of which have been commissioned by Arts Council England, selected for BAFTA-qualifying film festivals and distributed internationally.
As an acting coach, he has worked intensively with MA Acting for Screen students at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama where he has directed showreel scenes, led character development classes and directed an end of term film.
