Jelena Curcic

Jelena is an Author, Translator, Storyteller, Film & Theatre-maker, Tutor, Mentor, Editor and Workshop Leader with over twenty years of experience.

In 2012, Jelena created the Serbian Fairy Tales project, inspired by the 2012 bicentenary of the first publication of Grimms’ Fairy Tales. Conceived as an international collaboration that crosses time, culture and art form, this is a Literature and Live Literature project that includes a book and performance storytelling with music. Created with support from Arts Council England and Serbian Council of Great Britain, the project toured the UK and Europe for several years, and even made it as far as the Middle East, garnering great acclaim from audiences and critics alike.
