Jo Baiao

Born and raised in Portugal, Jo started ballroom and latin dancing at the age of 8 years old and has never looked back. Aged ten he entered National competitions, becoming the Portuguese Junior and Youth Champion, going on to become Adult National Champion in Ballroom and Latin dance.

Jo later went on to win The Portugal Dance Awards, a television talent agency, and was awarded the title The Best Talent of Portugal.

After moving to the UK, Jo has choreographed for many shows and educational films. Achieved the Title of British Champion and World Bronze Medalist in Equality Dance. Jo is also performing being part of the cast of “Dance the Night Away” that performed on tour in Sweden and Seychelles. Also, the Lead dancer in “Dance to the Music” and “Strictly Cabaret X” with Kristina Rihanoff from Strictly Come Dancing.

Jo also was a contestant on “The Greatest Dancer 2020”.

As a ballroom dance instructor, he has been teaching for fifteen years and thoroughly enjoys helping his students feel confident with their dance performances. His classes focus on technique in a fun, supportive environment.
