Having started dancing at the age of five, Joel trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with Distinction. He then went on to perform in Cinderella at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Peter Pan at the Glasgow SECC Arena, and was part of the UK and international touring cast of Wicked.
Joel has also performed on television, appearing on Let’s Dance for Comic Relief (BBC One) and The People’s Strictly (BBC One). Currently he is making his West End debut in the London production of 42nd Street.
His classes are fun, friendly and inclusive, starting with a short warm up, moving onto learning different rhythms and moves, and finishing with a fun routine incorporating the techniques learnt in the class.
“I believe that anyone can dance, it’s expression through movement. With the correct training and lots of passion you can channel your expressive energy into the right areas and improve your ability to dance. There’s nothing more satisfying than realising you’re more than able to do something you thought you’d never be able to achieve.”
