Justyna is an independent dance artist, performer, educator and movement practitioner.
She trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and studied Dance Teaching and Learning. She was a member of Experimental Dance Studio ‘EST’ in Poland. She started started working as a dance teacher in various dance settings in 2006. Her work in dance includes site-specific projects, workshops, performances and educational work, as well as theatre based work. Her credits include, Nutshell Dance Company, Levantes Dance Theatre, LCP Dance Theatre, Lea Anderson, Louis Gallo Mudarra, Juri Nishi with Royal Academy of Arts. Justyna has also performed at the Tino Sehgal The Unilever Series exhibition at Tate Modern. She has collaborated with choreographers and artists from a diversity of fields such as film festivals, live music, visual arts and theatre.
Justyna combines her professional dance activities with work in community and educational dance settings, including teaching and delivering workshop in range of settings. For the last couple of years, she has been developing technique classes combining her skills as a contemporary dancer, performer and movement practitioner. She encourages different approaches to dancing in a positive and energetic environment where she can push students to enjoy moving and use their bodies as a source of exploration and expression.
