Natasha Lien is a Chinese British artist with 16 years of teaching experience working with students of all ages. After her undergraduate training at Central St Martin’s, Natasha completed her postgraduate studies at The Royal Drawing School.
Natasha’s compositions depict people, landscapes and cityscapes working with perspective, colour, tone, rhythm and form. She draws and paints from life and in many locations, from drawing large-scale interiors in the V&A, creating etchings from detailed studies of trees on Hampstead Heath, to painting landscapes in Jordan.
Natasha has shown her work in many exhibitions, including Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Friends Open exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery, the NEAC at the Mall Galleries and The Royal College of Art. Natasha is an accomplished cellist and her early training as a musician informs her drawings of musicians in action. She was artist in residence at Tetbury Music Festival. Public and Private Collections include, Victoria & Albert Museum, Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, HRH King Charles III.
