Owen was born in Cornwall and began his dance training with ex-professional dancers Nicola Brice and Terence Etheridge. He also trained at Totnes School of Dance in Devon, Duchy Ballet, National Youth Ballet and Cornwall Youth Dance Company. He pursued his professional vocational training in Scotland where he gained his BA (Hons) and toured throughout Scotland.
His credits include, State Opera Varna Ballet in Bulgaria and Cape Town City Ballet in South Africa. Dancer on the Disney Film ‘The Nutcracker and The Four Realms’ choreographed by Liam Scarlett. Dancer in the arena production of ‘Leila – The Land of Imagination’ in the Middle East for Balich Worldwide Shows. Dancer at the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne Summer Festival. He played Tom in Frankly Speaking Productions dance theatre adaptation of Tom’s Midnight Garden choreographed by Gareth Mole. Dancer at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Dancer for Channel 4 in the TV Game Show 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with Jimmy Carr. Dancer for American choreographer Marika Brussel in her research & development for new ballet.
Owen is also a qualified Pilates Teacher and Progressive Ballet Technique Teacher in Junior, Senior and Advanced Levels. Owen is also a published author. His set of fictional short stories “Some People Come in Pairs and other musings” is available in all the main bookseller.
