Rob Ostlere

Rob Ostlere has extensive experience on screen, including Restless (BBC), Game of Thrones (HBO), a regular award-winning role in BBC’s Holby City, and upcoming appearances in I Hate Suzie (Sky/Bad Wolf) and the movie Infinite (Paramount). His theatre roles have taken him across the country, performing in esteemed venues such as The National, Young Vic, Chichester Festival Theatre and The Hampstead.

Rob is the author of The Actor’s Career Bible (published by Bloomsbury Methuen in 2019), a career guide for actors based on interviews with over 75 industry-insiders. Most recently he was asked to write the foreword for Bloomsbury’s 2021 edition of The Actor’s and Performer’s Yearbook, as well as contributing four interviews with leading figures from the industry.

In recent months working online with both large groups and private students . He specialises in screen acting and self-taping, Meisner and improvisation. As a screen acting teacher, Rob loves to share his training and experience in front of the camera, quickly helping students develop their technique while remaining free and expressive. Rob has worked with some of the most renowned Meisner practitioners from across the globe, and believes that the technique is one of the most important an actor can work on. As an improviser, he has performed for major productions on screen and stage, as well as training a range of actors and business-clients. Whether in live classes or online, Rob creates a fun but focused atmosphere, where students can quickly improve while enjoying themselves.
